Call Reporting Helps Goverment Offices with Fiscal Tightening

Fort Lauderdale , Florida (August 30, 2012) Metropolis Technologies, Inc., a premier telemanagement solution provider, is pleased to announce that OfficeWatch Telemanagement was chosen by the USDA to provide detailed call tracking and reporting information for one of their high priority research offices.

With the federal budget deficit estimated at $1.1 trillion, and fiscal tightening in effect, government agencies are under scrutiny to reduce costs and improve efficiencies. After upgrading their Mitel 2000 phone system to a Mitel VoIP system in order to control and reduce communication costs, the USDA began to research an easy to use call accounting solution that could provide them with improved efficiency. They reviewed several options then contacted their GSA certified provider, Brevard Business Telephone Systems (BBTS), who recommended OfficeWatch Telemanagement.

OfficeWatch Telemanagement logs incoming, outgoing, and internal call data and provides reports on this information to meet record retention requirements. Additionally, OfficeWatch includes applications such as toll fraud alerts and trunk analysis tools to detect ways the organization can reduce expenses and improve network efficiencies. The toll fraud alert tool notifies an unlimited number of users via screen pop up and email whenever a call exceeds a certain cost or duration threshold. This benefit enables agencies to keep an eye on costly long distance calls, detect VoIP hacking, and phone abuse by their staff. Reports can be automated for delivery via email, printer, or saved to a file on a monthly, weekly, or even daily basis, so staff are not taxed by pulling repetitive reports.
